Malacanang Palace, DOTR, Megawide Corp officially launches the first ever integrated terminal in the country.
Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), a non-stop hub of convenience, the transfer point of provincial and in-city transportation that will cater to both commuters and businesses.
The Php3.5-billion facility is envisioned to be a modern transport hub that will connect passengers from Cavite to inner Metro Manila, through seamless interconnectivity between different modes of transportation such as buses, taxis, PUVs, and the LRT 1 South Extension.
The PITx is a major infrastructure development under the government’s Build, Build, Build (BBB) Program, which aims to yield sustainable economic growth, create jobs, increase income, strengthen the investment climate, and uplift the lives of every Filipino.
With best-in-class facilities for commuters as well as bus operators and drivers, PITX is a first of its kind transport infrastructure in the country.
This aims to provide seamless transfer of passengers from one transport mode to another.
In the coming months, the PITx will also have a clinic, breastfeeding station, a supermarket, shopping and dining options, payment centers, and recreational hubs such as salons and spas, the DOTr promised.
The PITx is expected to accommodate 200,000 passengers daily, according to Megawide Construction. The company estimates the PITx to boost the company’s earnings by about Php717.2 million in revenues next year.
